I recently have become involved with the Midnight Mission Family Housing Program (for more info.) http://www.midnightmission.org/services-housing.asp
It's an amazing and very effective program, which gives families a chance to move from homeless to self-reliant.
My involvement includes Co-chairing the Teach a Kid to Fish Bowl fundraising event, plus I have created a pilot workshop that I will be teaching this fall for the women in the program.
